Automatic pressure regulation in soybean presses can be beneficial in ensuring uniform oil content in the cake and reducing the influence of human factors on the oil extraction process. This technology allows for pressure control in the pressing chamber, ensuring consistent oil output and uniform measures of oil content and protein in the cake.

Automatic load regulation can prevent an increase in the oil content of the cake when:

  • The operator loses control over the soybean feeding into the extruder.
  • The parameters of the beans change during processing, such as moisture, oil content, or impurities.

Not aimed at increasing oil output:

In practice, over a short period of time, an operator in manual mode may achieve better pressing results.

However, an operator physically cannot, for example, change the rotation frequency of the press shaft by 0.5 Hz every 30 seconds for 12 hours.

Over a long period of time, automation provides a better overall pressing result.

In the course of several hours of work, such automation leads to a uniform pressing process, with oil being pressed out rather than remaining in the cake.

Purpose of use:

To ensure stable pressure indicators in the press chamber, which will lead to a uniform oil output and consistent indicators of oil content and protein content in the meal.

To reduce the influence of human factors on the oil pressing process.

Operating principle:

Used after the oil line exit, in automatic mode.

When switching to automatic mode:

Automatically adjusts the rotation speed of the main press shaft to achieve the set load on the main press motor.

If the operator sets the desired load to 85% (35A) and switches to automatic mode:

The controller will automatically reduce the rotation speed (from the starting 50 Hz) to increase the load on the motor (by increasing the amount of raw material in the press chamber).

If the load exceeds the value set by the operator, the controller will automatically increase the rotation speed (to reduce the pressure in the press chamber).

If the goal is to increase oil output:

The operator needs to set a desired load higher than before.

For example, the operator sets a desired load of 90% (38A).

In this case, the controller will automatically increase or decrease the speed, but to achieve a higher and consistent load.

As a result, oil output will increase.

However, increasing the load may also have a negative impact:

  • The clearance in the pressing bars will increase the output of collapsed solids (hard particles of cake).
  • The wear of the pressing chamber will increase.
