Lviv Region, Ukraine –February – A local soy processor has expanded its production capabilities thanks to a significant investment in new equipment. In February 2024, the company acquired six additional sets of E-1000 extruders and OP-1000 oil presses, which will add 150 tons per day to their soybean oil and meal processing capacity.
This expansion will enable the company to process more soybeans, increasing production of soybean oil and meal, which are essential ingredients for the food, biofuel, and animal feed industries.
Increased Production and Potential Exports Expected
The increased capacity will allow the company to meet the growing demand for soy products both domestically and internationally. The additional production volumes may also contribute to the export of soybean oil and meal from Ukraine.
Positive Impact on Local Economy
The investment in new equipment is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy of the Lviv region. The increase in production may create new jobs and support local farmers who supply soybeans for processing.
