The GS-500 cooling unit is designed for cooling fodder pellets coming from the coater.

The cooling unit works as part of a technological line. It is recommended to use the equipment of the CherkasyElevatorMash company for the components of the technological line. This will ensure the best performance of the GC-500 cooling unit. In agreement with the customer, the cooler is manufactured in a corrosion-resistant version.

The cooling unit works in a closed room at a temperature from +5°С to +40°С and a relative humidity of 80% at a temperature of 25°С.

The serial number of the product is given on the plate (Fig. 2). This number must be specified when ordering spare parts. The plate is attached to the base of the cooler.

1 – The base.
2 – Cooling capacity.
3 – Gate valve.
4 – Fan.
5 – Outlet nozzle.
6 – Vibrating tray.
7 – Cold air supply pipe.
8 – Inspection hatch.
9 – Level sensor.

The product enters the sluice gate 3. Then, through the sluice gate, it enters the cooling tank 2.

As it accumulates, the product will reach an average level sensor of 9. A total of three level sensors are used. The upper sensor signals a malfunction that led to an emergency overflow of the product level in the cooling tank. The sensor located in the middle signals the maximum working level of the product. The lower sensor signals the minimum working level of the product. When the product reaches the maximum working level of the sensor, a signal is given to turn on the vibrating tray 6. The amount of product in the cooling container will begin to decrease. When the product level equals the minimum level sensor, a signal is given to turn off the vibrating tray. The product level in the cooling tank will start to rise again. A new work cycle will start.

Fan 4 draws air through the product layer, this convection process provides cooling.

Inspection hatches 8 are designed to maintain the upper part of the cooling container and regulate the uniform passage of air through the product.

The cooling tank is mounted on the base 1.

If necessary, additional cooled air can be supplied through nozzle 7.

The cooling unit does not require constant operator supervision for operation, only when starting and stopping.
