Benefits of belt dryers:

  • the product does not spill over in the dryer: there is no impact deformation
  • the product lies on the belt / on the perforated plate, does not move relative to other granules / pieces of the product: there is no friction of the product particles against each other
  • the layer of the dried product does not exceed 150 mm: no squeezing of the product
  • the product is in the belt dryer for up to 45 minutes: the drying process is carried out without the use of extreme temperatures and explosive steam release, there is a smooth and uniform redistribution of moisture from the middle of the granules / pieces / particles of the product to the surface
  • the product retains its marketable appearance: there is no crusting and cracking of the surface layer of granules / pieces / particles


The dryer is used for gentle drying of various bulk products.


When calculating the dryer, it is necessary to take into account:

  • raw material density
  • initial moisture content of the raw material
  • product moisture
  • raw material fraction
  • features of moisture removal from the surface of raw materials
  • ambient temperature



Refine dryer parameters


  • Time spent in the dryer is controlled
  • The temperature is controlled by zones
  • Drying layer: 50 ... 150 mm
  • The heated air from the cooler is used for drying

Raw materials are loaded onto the floor of the belt dryer through a movable tray.

As a result, the flooring is filled with the product evenly.

The flooring is assembled from perforated plates.

Dry air heated to 60 … 110 ºС is blown through the holes in the plates, which passes through the layer of dried wet raw materials.

Heat and moisture exchange takes place: the raw material is heated, moisture evaporates from it, and moist air is pumped out of the dryer by a special fan.

Several thieves for raw materials are installed above the drying floor so that it does not stick together.

The belt deck moves through several drying zones and moves into the cooling zone.

In this zone of the belt dryer, unheated air is blown through the deck and product layer.

The product cools down, and the air heated by the raw material from the cooling zone is blown onto the heaters installed in front of the drying zone.

The air is partially recirculated and the energy efficiency of the dryer is increased.


From the cooler, the product is unloaded into the workshop transport system of the PRODUCTION LINE (example).
