BRONTO Upgrades Production:

New CNC Press Brake by Durma for Faster, More Precise Equipment Manufacturing

Cherkasyelevatormash LLC (BRONTO) has commissioned a new CNC-controlled press brake, the Durma AD-S 30220, as part of its ongoing technical modernization program. The goal is to shorten manufacturing lead times for OP and RP series oil presses and extruders — without compromising the quality of a single component.

Why This Matters to Customers

Upgrading the machine fleet is not an end in itself — it’s a direct response to market demand. Customers across Europe, Nigeria, and Ethiopia increasingly order equipment on tight production schedules and expect consistent geometry across every batch of metal components.

The new press brake delivers two direct benefits:

  • Speed. CNC control allows complex multi-angle bends to be programmed in advance and reproduced across a series of parts without manual retooling between operations — directly shortening the production cycle for press housings and extruder frames.
  • Quality and repeatability. Precise bend-angle control and consistent process parameters reduce the risk of deviation in sheet thickness and housing geometry — critical for components that later go through welding and final assembly of the oil press.

What This Means for BRONTO’s Production

The new equipment has been installed at the manufacturing site in Cherkasy and is already integrated into the company’s broader production line alongside its existing machine fleet. Operators are being trained on the CNC system, which allows bend parameters to be set once and reliably reproduced for any future batch — a direct contributor to consistent quality across serial orders.

“We deliberately invest in machine tools that have a direct impact on order lead times and the precision of finished components. For customers, this means predictable delivery timelines and consistent quality of housing components from one order to the next,” — R&D Department, Cherkasyelevatormash LLC (BRONTO).

Modernization as an Ongoing Approach

The upgraded press brake capability complements BRONTO’s broader strategy for developing its production capacity, alongside the R&D department’s work on new solutions for oilseed processing. The company treats technical modernization not as a one-time event but as a continuous process — one that allows it to maintain the balance between European manufacturing quality and competitive pricing for equipment serving emerging markets.
