The mechanical oil separator MOS-500 is designed for preliminary cleaning of vegetable oil from scum (thickness) before its filtration. When oil with scum passes through the separator, 70 … 85% of the scum is removed.

After squeezing the oil press, the oil is fed into the inlet of the separator.

Oil enters Tank 1.

This is where the primary accumulation of oil occurs. At this time, Tank 2 may be empty.

The movement of the chain conveyor is activated.

The vanes of the conveyor along the inclined wall lift the slurry that settles at the bottom of Tank 1.

Then the paddles move the sediment along the perforated metal floor – the grid. The oil drains through the grate holes back to Tank 1, and the degreased sludge goes to the screw conveyor.

The process continues continuously. The speed of movement of the blades along the grid is 0.2 m/minute.

The oil level in Tank 1 gradually rises to the level of the overflow channel in Tank 2 (it is below the level of the perforated floor).

Oil begins to flow into Tank 2.

The process of removing sediment from the oil into the feeder is repeated in Baku 2.

The separated sediment is returned to the press for re-pressing the oil.

When the oil level reaches the upper level sensor in Tank 2,

the oil is pumped into containers for storage or further processing.

Power the control cabinet with a wire with copper cores with a cross-section of at least 2.5 mm2 or a wire with aluminum cores with a cross-section of at least 4 mm2.

SEPARATOR STOP:

  • stop the supply of raw materials and wait until the separator is completely free of sediment
  • pump oil from both compartments of the separator housing
  • after stopping the flow of oil, disconnect the separator

When stopping for a long time, it is necessary:

  • remove the covers
  • check the condition of the scraper conveyor, auger and grates
  • clean the housing and grates from sediment residues
