step-by-step guide from Bronto
Own soybean processing plant is a highly profitable business that allows you to obtain popular products: high-protein cake and soybean oil. However, launching such production raises many questions for entrepreneurs.
What does the purchasing process look like? Who is responsible for installation? What does the term “turnkey” really mean? In this article, we analyze each stage in detail and frankly – from the first call to the line reaching maximum productivity.
We adapt our technological scheme to your conditions.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Line productivity | from 24 t/day |
| Installed capacity | from 145 kW |
| Products | cake, oil, full-fat soybeans |
| Oil content of cake | 7-8% |
| Oil cake output | up to 20 t/day |
| Oil output | up to 3.8 t/day |
Buying a soybean processing line from Bronto always starts with a thorough analysis of your needs.
Before signing the contract, we consistently agree on 11 key parameters:
1. Required line performance.
2. Raw material parameters (input quality of beans).
3. Finished product parameters (requirements for cake and oil).
4. Conditions for placing the line – area and height of premises, supplied electrical power, availability of access roads, storage areas for raw materials and finished products.
5. Graphic layout of the line for specific customer conditions.
6. List of equipment required for full implementation of the project.
7. Machine manufacturing terms.
8. Terms of delivery of equipment to the future production site.
9. Terms of installation.
10. Terms of commissioning.
11. Terms of payment.
Once all the basic parameters have been agreed upon, we move on to the practical planning of the future workshop. At this stage, together with the customer, we work out in detail:
Based on this data, our engineers develop the final layout solution.
Why is the layout the main document at the start? It is it that allows you to create an accurate, verified list of equipment necessary for the implementation of your project. The resulting list is the only starting point for an accurate calculation of the cost of the line and forecasting the timing of its manufacture.
Only after this stage does the project move into a transparent financial plane. We provide the customer with a full commercial offer with fixed prices and terms for each unit of equipment, protecting you from hidden payments or sudden price increases during the production process.
After all the details are agreed, a contract is signed.
We launch the production of equipment, ensure its delivery, and after the installation is complete, we connect, configure, and start the line.
When customers ask about a turnkey line, everyone puts their own meaning into it. Our position is clear:
Bronto’s turnkey line is a complete set of technological equipment that is guaranteed to process soybeans into high-quality meal and oil.
However, each soybean processor has its own unique conditions: features of raw material acceptance, logistics inside the warehouse, storage tanks, specifics of the premises, etc. Therefore, we do not offer a “blind” standard solution. We adapt our equipment to your real conditions using an individual Graphic Layout. This allows you to clearly see how the line integrates into your business.
It is not enough to know where the raw materials enter the line from – you need to clearly understand where and in what form they leave it. The final stage of the technological process is the correct, safe and logistically well-thought-out storage of finished products.
As a standard, a Bronto soybean processing line is completed with the following three nodes:
Understanding the “input” and “output” points helps us create the ideal layout solution specifically for your warehouse capacity.
Our clients install equipment through local (regional) installation companies, using the Graphic Line Layout developed by us.
Hiring local installers is the most sensible and cost-effective solution for two reasons:
Bronto’s role at this stage: We do not leave you alone with the installers. If necessary, our factory provides installation supervision services – our specialist’s supervision of the correct installation of all equipment.
| Characteristic | Layout solution (from Bronto) | Enterprise project (from the project organization) |
|---|---|---|
| What is this? | Technological diagram of the line, graphically adapted to your premises. | Official documentation developed by a certified institute. |
| What is it for? | Important for the successful physical process of soybean processing (placement of machines, conveyors). | Necessary for installers and government agencies to ensure that production complies with DBN, safety standards, and passes certification. |
After local contractors have completed the physical installation and connected the line to the ventilation and electrical network, our specialists (or official Bronto technical representatives) enter the site.
The commissioning process consists of the following steps:
1. The raw material needs to be dried.
Typically, soybeans are stored in silos at a moisture content of 12-14%. However, for maximum extrusion and pressing efficiency on our equipment, the beans must be dried to 8-9%.
Why is this important? Drying soybeans to this level allows you to increase oil yield by 5-6%, which significantly increases the margin of your production.
2. Filtration or oil settling?
After mechanical pressing in screw presses, up to 3% (by weight) of solid impurities (sediment) remains in soybean oil. We offer two purification scenarios:
Pre-filtration units: Mechanically purify the oil immediately after pressing. This is a must-have solution if you plan to sell the oil as a commodity, or if your line’s capacity exceeds 48 tons per day.
We have already produced hundreds of plant layouts of various capacities and are ready to provide you with several ready-made options for free for review.
Our production is located in Ukraine, in the city of Cherkasy. We invite you to come to us, see the production culture with your own eyes, meet engineers and get an initial consultation.
