An automated soya oil production facility in France

modernisation of the OP-1000 oil press and the introduction of a fully automated purification line.

Client:

Huilerie de Chambarand (France, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region) — an oil-processing plant specialising in the production of vegetable oils using the cold-pressing method. The company already operated a rapeseed processing plant, and in 2024 a decision was taken to launch a new line of business — the production of soya oil and soya meal.

The challenge:

The French oilseed processing market is renowned for its high quality standards, stringent requirements for production automation and fierce competition from European equipment manufacturers. To launch a new soya processing plant, the client required not just individual pieces of equipment, but a solution capable of fitting into the concept of fully automated production developed by a specialist engineering firm. The aim was to create a production line that operates reliably without constant operator intervention, ensures consistent oil quality and meets the stringent requirements of a European audit.

Solution:

For this project, BRONTO modernised the OP-1000 oil press, retrofitting it for integration into an automated production line: crude oil from the press is fed to a mechanical separator for preliminary purification, whilst final purification is carried out by the VNP-10A line, which operates in a fully automated cycle. This configuration enabled the project’s engineering team to integrate the BRONTO equipment into the workshop’s overall automation system without the need for any additional modifications on the client’s part.

Result

The new soybean oil processing plant at Huilerie de Chambarand was successfully commissioned with a fully automated production cycle, from pressing to the final oil refining stage.

For CherkasyElevatorMash, this project became a landmark achievement. The company successfully met the expectations of a demanding French customer, demonstrated its ability to compete with European equipment manufacturers on their home market, and proved that its solutions can be seamlessly integrated into complex automated production facilities.

This project marks another important milestone for BRONTO in advancing its equipment technologies and strengthening its position in the European oilseed processing market.
