Are you no longer satisfied with the oil content of soybean meal? What can you do to return to 7-8% oil content?
Please note that oil content is affected not only by pressing in the press, but also by the entire processing process in the technological line and the parameters of the soybean itself at the input to processing.
1) Check the soybean grinding after the extruder.
If there are soybean halves in the extrudate, then oil will not be squeezed out of them in the press.
This happens if the working body in the extruder is worn out.
What to do: Replace worn out spare parts.
2) Check the soybean moisture before regrinding.
The moisture should be 8-9%.
If the moisture differs in the higher or lower direction, the line equipment will not be able to maintain optimal pressure and temperature.
In addition, the moisture content of the raw material itself is a factor affecting the squeezing efficiency.
What to do: bring the moisture to 8-9%.
3) Remember how long it has been since you cleaned the seed chamber.
We recommend carrying out the cleaning procedure at least once a month.
What to do: Open the seed chamber. Sort through, clean the seed and pressure bars.
When reassembling after cleaning: check the gaps between the slats and their direction.

Check the spacers/pressure plates. Replace them if necessary:
4) Check the valve on the exhaust ventilation between the extruder and the press.
The air flow passing through the SF-250 feeder affects the temperature and humidity of the full-fat soybeans at the inlet to the press.
What to do:
dry soybeans – reduce the air flow (with the valve);
wet soybeans – increase the air flow (with the valve).
5) Check the load on the oil press.
The norm is 80-85% of the load on the main electric motor – from the nominal load.
What to do: increase the feed of raw materials into the extruder (increase by 1 Hz every 2 minutes), or reduce the speed of the shaft on the press (decrease by 1 Hz every 2 minutes) – until the load on the press increases to 80-85%.
